- Icon: Inspired by the “Butter Robot” from Rick and Morty, the icon has been reimagined in a flattened, vectorized superellipse form. It carries over from my original Modern People blog, reflecting the existential reflections sparked by the character at that time.
- Logo: The logo currently features the Cubit 11 font. As the visual identity is still evolving, I’ve opted for this minimalist approach for now.
Site History#
- 2013 – 2014: My blogging journey began with early experiments on WordPress and various public blogging platforms.
- 2019: Inspired by the community, I launched “Modern People” on Tencent Cloud Studio using WordPress. However, due to policy changes and personal reasons, the site eventually went offline, leading me to migrate to GitHub Pages.
- 2021: I transitioned to Hexo, initially keeping the name “Modern People” before rebranding to “Max Chang’s Blog.”
- 2022 – 2024: Seeking a more modern toolchain to overcome Hexo’s limitations, I began a long-term refactoring project. Despite several delays and extensive tweaking, the new version was finally completed in late 2024.
- Late 2025: I performed another major refactor, adopting the astro-antfustyle-theme, due to its excellent engineering practices and clean architecture.
